Jamie Lindholm

(b. 1961)   Jamie's art career began in the late 1980's painting mostly still life and landscapes in watercolor.  A decade later, she transitioned to oil and soon after won her first award with her portrait of her then next door neighbor, Miss Lena.

While Jamie loved to draw and paint from practically the moment she was born, she started off her educational foundation with a BSBA in Marketing & Business Management.  While working full time, she went on to study art and painting in a variety of institutions including The Maryland Institute College of Art and School 33 Art Center in Baltimore, but really crediting her time in the studio of  David Zuccarini (a second generation student of Jacques Maroger under Joseph Sheppard) for a leap in knowledge and skill.

In 1999, she moved to New York City and studied at the Art Students League while balancing her work as a Business Analyst in an international transaction technology company.

In 2004, she and her family moved from Manhattan to Martinsville, NJ,  where she currently maintains her home and studio. This transition allowed her to finally concentrate solely on her art career, where she regularly accepts portrait commissions, provides private art instruction and, when time permitted, has taught at the Somerset Art Association.

Jamie's award-winning artwork has been represented by Howard Gallery of Fine Art in New Hope, PA,  Sienna Visions Fine Art in Plainfield, NJ and the Nynäs Konst & Hantverk in Nynäshamn, Sweden.

Jamie is a member of the Portrait Society of America, where she volunteers as the Delaware and New Jersey State Ambassador -- a volunteer position whose role is to promote the art of portraiture and figurative work.  She is also a member of the Oil Painters of America and The Somerset Art Association.  Her paintings are in private collections throughout the United States and Sweden.
